AOPA LOAN PROGRAM FOR FLIGHT TRAINING

A new program available from AOPA Certified partner MBNA America Bank, N.A. offers AOPA members flight training personal loans with repayment terms as long as five years. No collateral or down payment is required, and no annual fee is assessed. Loans may be used for any flight training expense, including aircraft rental, instruction fees, books and supplies, or any other goods or services needed to make flight training successful. PILOT FINANCE, Inc.

This loan is designed for part-time flight training (1-5 flight lessons per week). Maximum amount financed is limited only by the applicant's income, debts, and credit record. To apply online go to www.pilotfinance.com or call 800-667-0201.

SLM Financial - Career Training Loan sm
This loan has been designed specifically to help students finance their training. It can be used for the total cost of education and certain related expenses. If the applicant has no credit or a poor credit history they may still qualify for a loan by applying with a creditworthy co-borrower. Minimum loan amount is $1,000. Interest rates are variable (monthly) and based on the Prime Rate plus a spread. The interest rate spread is determined by the applicant and the co-borrower's (if used) credit history. Interest rate starts at Prime +1 percent. Repayment begins 30 days after disbursement. Standard term is 15 years with minimum payments set at $30 a month per loan.
