Airline Transport Pilot
 


Attention:

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has implemented new procedures for flight training conducted by a US flight training provider beginning October 20, 2004. Please visit the Enrollment page for mandatory procedures required by the TSA prior to beginning ANY flight training.

All courses require a $150 enrollment fee *(fuel surcharges may be in effect)

This course is a 141 approved course available to pilots holding a Commercial Pilot Helicopter certificate with Helicopter Instrument rating. In some cases previous knowledge and experience can be credited toward the course curriculum requirements per FAR 141.77 (c). Students who wish to train under FAR part 61 can be provided a custom quote for a program based on their previous knowledge and experience

To be eligible for an Airline Transport Pilot certificate, a person must:

• Be at least 23 years of age.
• Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
• Be of good moral character.
• Pass the ATP knowledge test.
• Pass the ATP practical test.

Flight Experience:

1,200 hours of total time as a pilot that includes at least:

  1. 500 hours of cross-country flight time.
  2. 100 hours of night flight time, of which 15 hours are in helicopters.
  3. 200 hours of flight time in helicopters, which includes at least 75 hours as a pilot in command.
  4. 75 hours of instrument flight time in actual or simulated instrument meteorological conditions, of which at least 50 hours are obtained in flight and at least 25 hours in helicopters as a pilot in command.
